Thaína González is currently Manager of Executive Offices and Board Liaison at SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity), an organization that provides superior educational and career programs to young people from underserved and underrepresented communities to maximize their opportunities for college and career success.
Thaina currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Oswego Alumni Association and is a member of the New America Alliance Latina Leadership Caucus. She is one of the co-founder of Return to Oz, Oswego’s Alumni of Color reunion which happens every five years since its foundation in 1997. Thaina is also one of five founding sisters of the Zeta Chapter at Oswego of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc.
During her years at Oswego, Thaina served twice as LSU president, co-founded Ritmo Latino, was a member of BSU, and was president of the Gospel Choir.
Thaina has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature, which she obtained from Oswego.
